ROOF WARRANTY & SOLAR INSTALLATION
Installing solar panels does not void your roof warranty by default, as long as the system is installed by qualified professionals who follow the manufacturer's approved methods for drilling and flashing.
- We ensure your roof warranty remains valid by:
- Using manufacturer-approved mounting and flashing systems.
- Providing pre- and post-installation roof inspections.
- Offering a 10-year roof penetration warranty for any potential leaks caused by the solar installation.
- Coordinating with roofing manufacturers for continuance letters when needed.
Common causes of voided warranties-such as poor workmanship, improper sealing, or installing on an aged or damaged roof-are fully avoided through our certified installation process.
COMPLETE SYSTEM INSURANCE
GoodLeap provides full insurance coverage on the solar panels and battery system for the entire 25-year term, including:
- Protection against storm, fire, theft, or accidental damage.
- Full repair or replacement of affected equipment at no cost to the homeowner.
MONITORING & PERFORMANCE
MONITORING & PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE
- 24/7 smart monitoring ensures optimal system performance.
- If the system underperforms, GoodLeap will compensate for lost production.
- All maintenance and service are handled by licensed technicians-never by the homeowner.
NO HOMEOWNER RESPONSIBILITIES
Homeowners are not responsible for:
- Any maintenance, service, or equipment replacement.
- System insurance or monitoring costs.
- Adding the system to their home insurance policy.
Your role is simple-enjoy lower, predictable energy costs and a stronger roof warranty.
NO LIENS ON PROPERTY
Per the GoodLeap TPO Agreement, the solar and battery system are owned and insured by GoodLeap. A UCC-1 financing statement may be recorded only to reflect ownership of the solar equipment, not your home or land.
This UCC filing is not a lien and does not impact your mortgage, credit, or property title. It is simply a notice that GoodLeap owns the installed solar system, while you enjoy the clean power it produces.
